Independent Study Shows Multi-Pure MPAD Aqua Dome is more economical than Brita Aquaview faucet filter

In an analysis that was documented on appropedia.org, Multi-Pure MPAD Aqua Dome countertop water filter is shown to be more economical than Brita Aquaview faucet filter. This “conclusive result” also showed that the MPAD filter model will save consumer more money and save the environment better than the Aquaview brand.
Multi-Pure MPAD and Aquaview both use activated carbon filter media technology. They are both designed for a family of four or less. That’s precisely where the similarities end.
The initial cost of an MPAD is $225.95 and a replacement filter can last up to 12 months at a cost of $56.95 each (even less if you sign up for the Aquamania option). So, in five years you will need additional 4 filters for a total of $227.8. The total cost over five years will be $453.75.

With the Aquamania option you will save $170.13, and without this option you will save $76.08 over Brita Aquaview. If you include the additional discount that is available with code 421896-disc, savings will be higher making Multi-Pure the better option.
As you can see, it’s better to pay the extra hundred dollars or so for a water filter system that does not require frequent water filter replacement. The best of it all, Multi-Pure water filters are NSF-certified for large varieties of contaminants; most other filters do not have that third-party certifications.
