A leaking water filter could be due to the operating pressure. It’s an unnecessary headache when the water filter you just bought is leaking and you wonder why. The operating pressure and many other reasons can make a filter system leak. For instance, using a wrong replacement filter cartridge, improper installation, clogged or overused filter can also cause leaking. The performance of your treatment system depends on the type of bad chemicals in your water and how much is present. Filter size or type, the installation can affect the water pressure. Interestingly, most people will overlook operating pressure of a system when comparing brands. If the system comes with an operating pressure that is extremely lower than the house water pressure, leaking may occur immediately. |
